D&D Construction, LLC wants https://ddconstructionid.com to be usable by as many people as possible, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, or other assistive technology.

Our Target

We aim, where reasonably practicable, to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).

Accessibility is ongoing work rather than a finished state. As content and technology change, some areas may need further improvement.

What We Have Done

In building and reviewing this website we have specifically:

• Measured text and background contrast from rendered pixels and adjusted colors that did not meet the contrast thresholds.
• Checked that the site can be operated with a keyboard alone, including the navigation menu and the quote request form.
• Provided a visible focus indicator on interactive elements and a skip link to jump past the navigation.
• Used a single main heading per page with headings that descend in order.
• Written text alternatives for meaningful images and marked decorative graphics so assistive technology skips them.
• Labeled every form field, indicated required fields in text as well as with an asterisk, and written error messages that name the problem and are announced to assistive technology.
• Avoided conveying information by color alone.
• Checked that the site reflows without horizontal scrolling at narrow widths and at increased text size.
• Honored the operating system setting that reduces motion.
• Run automated accessibility testing across every page template.

Known Limitations

Automated testing catches only part of what matters. We are aware of the following:

• A full manual screen reader review across every page had not been completed at the time this statement was published. If you encounter something a screen reader reads incorrectly, please tell us.
• Photographs of construction sites are described in text, but a description cannot convey every detail of a site image.

Third-Party Content

Some parts of the website depend on third-party services, including our hosting provider and the service that delivers quote request form submissions. We cannot guarantee the accessibility of software we do not control, though we take it into account when choosing providers.
